Mr. Faroque Ahmed is working as a Senior Research Associate at the institution as of March 2, 2019 to present. He has completed his M.Sc. in Statistics from the Islamic University, Kushtia. He has a professional training degree in "Big Data Analytics" from the LICT training project of the ICT ministry, jointly organised by the Government of Bangladesh and George Washington University, USA. He has 4 years of teaching experience in different training programs organised by BIGM, i.e., Data Analysis in R and Python, hands-on quantitative analysis in STATA, Research methodology, Policy analysis courses, etc.

His research interests include the implementation of machine learning and cutting-edge econometric methods in the fields of financial economics and economic growth. He has published 14 peer-reviewed international journal articles on different topics so far. 

Currently, he is on study leave to pursue his PhD in Economics at the Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
