I have worked in the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) in various research projects as a Research Officer for a long time. I am currently working as Deputy Director, Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM). I have worked as Trainer under the Islamic Relief Bangladesh, based in Rangpur district. During that time, I was in charge of Training Section and my responsibility was to coordinate training, to both staff and beneficiaries. I have worked as Training Coordinator under VERC, based in Rajshahi district. I have worked as Upazila Facilitator, based in Sirajganj district, until recently. My immediate-past major responsibilities include, among others, conducing training of the trainers (TOT) organized by various lead NGOs. This also includes conducting TOT on various courses and organize programme related activities, facilitate programme, workshop, training, and prepare report on field activities. I have specialized experience in (a) Training needs assessment and evaluation (b) Training course designing (c) Training module preparation (d) Training manual development (f) Conducting PRA sessions (g) Monitor effects of training and (h) various awareness and income generating activities. My responsibility also included participation in various coordination meeting. At times, I myself impart training on relevant social aspects.
I had also TOT on Sustainable Watson Programme conducted by NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation, Lalmatia. I have also in the past conducted Water and Sanitation related and popular theatre training courses as a core team member of NGO Forum for DWSS across various districts of Bangladesh. I have also recently carried out a research independently, entitled “Water Pollution in Dhaka City – Ways of Remedies Through People’s Participation”, sponsored by Social Science Research Council, Planning Commission, Dhaka. I am reasonably proficient in computer skills such as SPSS (Windows and DOS), MS-Word, Excel, Power point and Word Perfect.
