Mr. Al-Amin is an IT professional and researcher with extensive experience in information technology management, software development, and digital systems administration. He currently serves as Assistant IT Officer at the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM), where he supports institutional IT infrastructure, academic technologies, and digital platforms.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Kumamoto University, Japan, and a prior Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Jagannath University, Bangladesh. His academic and research work focuses primarily on sentiment analysis, NLP, and machine learning, with multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and international conference publications. He has presented his research at international conferences in Taiwan and India and participated in professional development programs organized by JICA and GRIPS.
Professionally, he has over nine years of progressive experience in IT roles, including Assistant IT Officer at the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM), Assistant Manager (IT) at Labaid Diagnostics, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Assistant Programmer for a Bangladesh Bank–affiliated national project, and Head of IT in the private sector. His expertise spans web and ERP development, IT infrastructure management, database systems, software quality assurance, cybersecurity, vendor coordination, and digital governance systems.
In addition to his technical responsibilities, he has played an important role in academic journal management, DOI registration, research project support, and digital communication, including institutional branding and social media management.
Mr. Al-Amin is a recipient of the JICA SDGs Global Leadership Program Scholarship and a member of the Bangladesh Computer Society. He is proficient in Bangla and English, with basic working knowledge of Japanese.
