Roksana Khan, as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate joined Bangladesh Civil Service (administration cadre) in 2003. Afterwards, she served Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) and conducted sessions on gender issue and economics along with various training activities. She has long experience of serving at Economic Relations Division (ERD) and gained knowledge on international development related different policies along with foreign resource mobilization of United Nations, Nordic countries and World Bank. She has also gained practical experience having an internship at World Bank Head Quarter, Washington D.C., USA. International trade including LDC graduation  was also her area of concern while she had been working in Ministry of Commerce. She completed masters in Economics from University of Dhaka. She also pursued second masters in Public Policy from Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan under JDS fellowship, with a full thesis on gender discrimination of Bangladesh Civil Servant. At present, she has been serving as Additional Director at BIGM.
